Wow, this Buffy episode gave us Emmy-worthy acting and spawned a pretty explicit conversation about the logistics of vampire sex. Turns out Angel's maybe not a great boyfriend, but Stacey is very into this turn of events. Christopher's in town, so you know that means a big juicy kitchen fight. Bryan cannot handle Paris any longer and NEEDS to rant about it. Get ready for some deep Gilmore Girl character analysis in general. Plus, you won't believe what Bryan and Stacey do with spaghetti.

Who knew a wholesome little Stars Hollow picnic tradition could stir up such relationship drama? We've got breakups. We've got engagements. We've got emotional affairs. We've got Miss Patty matchmaking for Lorelai, despite having way too many potential suitors already. But hey! It's Buffy's birthday! So her broke-ass friends rent out the WHOLE bronze for an 8 person party! Meanwhile Dru's having a party in honor of just 1 guy, but he arrives in 8 parts.  Plus, Miss Calendar's weirdo uncle comes to town with a WHOLE lot of new information.

This week we discussed Buffy S2 E12 "Bad Eggs" & Gilmore Girls S2 E12 "Richard in Stars Hollow"

This weeks' episodes show us how hard it can be to care for a child... or parent. Lorelai manages to keep herself from strangling her annoying father, while Joyce quite literally tries to kill her secret superhero daughter. Buffy learns that being a single mother is much harder than fighting vampire cowboys, and maybe that her boyfriend's dick don't work? Richard gives Lorelai a very unprofessional lecture about workplace professionalism. But despite his wild theories about coffee, he makes some solid points about cars being built by children.

This week we discussed Gilmore Girls S2 E11 "Secrets and Loans" & Buffy S2 E11 "Ted"

Sneaky little Emily tricks Lorelai once again! Bryan's getting tired of Paris, and apparently so were the writers of this episode, switching over to a Lane story halfway thru. And we imagine an alt ending where Luke goes full Frank-N-Furter. Over in Sunnydale, Joyce is dating John Ritter, so blinded by charm that nary a red flag does she see. Xander was very fun, helpful, and not problematic this week, which might have had something to do with being drugged by a killer robot. And you'll never believe what our neighbor is up to now!
