Podcast Episode 3.13

Double the story in both episodes! 2 Shows 4 Stories

This week we discussed Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3 E13 "The Zeppo" & Gilmore Girls S3 E13 "Dear Emily and Richard"

Interestingly, both shows told 2 simultaneous stories, showing characters in different lights - Xander as a hero, and the Gilmores in a sepia tone. Luke overthinks his date with a lawyer, while Xander has an impromptu date with a woman who was likely raised by cars. Despite Jess's best efforts, only one of the dates ends in sex, but not with either aforementioned woman. While Rory takes on a demanding job as a personal labor assistant, Buffy reminds us HARD that Giles is fired as f*ck. Bryan's been learning about reproduction from a "doctor" at a bus stop, and Sherry screwed up!

Podcast Episode 3.12

They were being lied to, but Lane & Buffy both get told they do things "Like a Girl"

This week we discussed Gilmore Girls S3 E12 "Lorelai Out of Water" & Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3 E12 "Helpless"

Wow! It's our 50th episode! Bryan celebrates by confessing some wild things he did to impress the ladies pre-Stacey, and Stacey celebrates by forgetting the details of a beloved fairy tale. Rory and Lane celebrate one of the many Korean marriages they've apparently been attending this whole time, while Buffy celebrates her birthday by almost dying in a Saw house. Lorelai and Giles disrespectfully lie to Luke and Buffy, respectively. Honestly the shit Giles does to Buffy is pretty messed up, and he feels almost as bad about it as Lorelai does about the actual fishing part of fishing.

Podcast Episode 3.11

Were these episodes as bad as IMDb thinks? You're gonna find out on The Worst Episodes of the Season?

This week we discussed Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3 E11 "Gingerbread" & Gilmore Girls S3 E11 "I Solemnly Swear"

The internet doesn't think very highly of these episodes, but we'll be the judge. Two sweet men attempt to subtly seduce Sookie & Lorelai, while two sweet kids convince some checked-out moms to publicly execute their daughters. Lorelai may have to lie under oath to appease her mom, meanwhile Buffy's nearly put to death for being completely honest with hers. Willow & Rory's secret attempts to do nice things for their friends backfire, nearly resulting in death, Willow by stake burning. Rory by dull sword. And we've uncovered a Harry Potter crossover conspiracy that you've gotta hear to believe!

Podcast Episode 3.10

Merry... Christmas? Who knows anymore, but we've got a new episode! Fake Snow

This week we discussed Gilmore Girls S3 E10 "That'll Do, Pig" & Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3 E10 "Amends"

It's Christmas in July, and our characters are celebrating by rekindling relationships with estranged loved ones, getting surprise visits from Grandma, and of course confronting literal demons from their past until the snow saves them. Our Jewish friends, Paris and Willow, celebrate Christmas with their boyfriends by giving up Hanukkah/their virginity, respectively. When pushed to his breaking point, Angel nearly offs himself. Meanwhile Emily handles a similar situation by slowly eating a bean. And Buffy's hair department decided to get a little experimental with this one.

Podcast Episode 3.9

Happy New Episode Day! We proudly present Communal Dining

This week we discussed Buffy the Vampire Slayer S3 E9 "The Wish" & Gilmore Girls S3 E9 "A Deep-Fried Korean Thanksgiving"

The Gilmores must struggle through FOUR Thanksgiving dinners, and let's just say a familiar face from Sunnydale is ALSO hosting a dinner party. Cordelia wishes a certain powerful female out of her life, while try as she might, Lorelai can't seem to wish away her parents. Lane successfully executes a ruse involving her love interest (whose name Bryan totally remembers). Cordelia executes a less-thought-out romantic ruse (involving making boy jealous by having another boy look at her teeth.) And Cthulhu nearly ruins Buffy's sad picnic, but Sookie's sad picnic is made a little better by alcohol.
